Walhampton School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2-13. It lies in beautiful ancient woodland on the southern edge of the New Forest, near Lymington in Hampshire providing an outstanding education founded on academic excellence.
With a distinctive identity and strong sense of direction, they go from strength to strength in the education sector. Their education essence can be summed up in seven words: Values, Learning, Breadth, Joy, Outdoors, Community and Character.
“Recognition did a superb job on the Remembrance Book, always helpful and with their keen eye for detail we’re really pleased with the end result! ”
Marketing Manager, Walhampton School.
Walhampton came to Recognition Creative as they were looking for a local agency who would be able to help with ad-hoc projects and printing requirements and the first brief they gave us was to create a 120 page, leather bound, hardback book which would chart the history of Walhampton / Hordle House’s part in World War II, through explaining the roles which former pupils of the school had in the war.
Working closely with the Author, Tom Pearson-Chisman and the client we created a selection of design concepts, which we then developed into the full book design. The key brief was that the book needed to be clear, interesting and memorable. This was achieved through the design and high-quality finish of the book with a hard back and leather bound cover.
